Welcome to the Devon Shippon. Set in a secluded rural location, surrounded by the stunning countryside of North Devon. The Devon Shippon offers uninterrupted views for miles around and allows visitors to truly re-connect with the natural environment in which we sit. Our remote location also boasts truly dark skies, which is a must for any budding astronomer.
As well as wonderful views, we also pride ourselves on the wildlife, which we share this beautiful location with. Our wildlife field provides a natural space of clearings amongst the trees, and where the Roundhouse and Chi Yspyrys are found - a perfect location for small groups and events.​​
​The Roundhouse is available for guests at the Hayloft, schools, families and community groups. This prehistoric-style facility, in the wildlife field, gives visitors the feeling of being transported back in time.
We were awarded the CBA Marsh Award for Community Archaeologist of the Year 2025 for our community History and Archaeology provision and education outreach.

​The Hayloft, at the Devon Shippon, is perfect for couples, friends or families looking for a rural getaway to unwind. It comprises a lounge, kitchen, double and twin bedrooms, both with en-suite facilities, making the most of the original barn features, but with modern comforts.

The Chi Yspyrys offers a special private place in the midst of nature for small intimate weddings (non-legally binding), handfastings, renewal of vows and other small events.
